Kevin Devine
I don’t know if I have ever seen a more supportive and excitable audience. Kevin Devine had a classic rustic sound that made the listener feel at home. He stood center stage with his acoustic guitar and sang sweet songs to an eager room of listeners. The conversations he curated with the crowd pulled everyone in to get to know his witty and charming personality.
The Front Bottoms:
Throughout the night, the band and the audience were competing for the most energy. The Front Bottoms have such a strong and devoted following that the lead singer, Brian Sella, could stop singing for long period of time and the crowd would sing for him. As someone who has never been a listener, I was a little shocked by the outcome. The house was completely packed with hipsters from all over, old and young. Sella has a very pop punk vocal style that made me wish I was still in high school telling mom it’s not a phase. I would recommend this band to anyone in high school needing an anthem.
